- When Terminal Auto Body first opened its doors more than 40 years ago, we were writing estimates with pencil and paper and researching repair information from printed books that were updated yearly.
- From our safety-conscious modern perspective, it’s hard to believe that when Terminal Auto Body opened, many motor vehicles had yet to be equipped with seatbelts!
- Of course, some of today’s vehicles drive themselves, and we’ve come a long way when it comes to vehicle repair technology.
Our History
Family-owned & Operated
Terminal Auto Body is a second-generation, family -owned and operated auto body repair business.
1979 – Originally located in Nanaimo, Terminal Auto Body’s founder, Al Descoteau, moves the business to Parksville when the family relocates to the local community.
When Al retires, his son and daughter, Marc Descoteau and Sari Smith, take over the business. Al continues to be involved to this day.
Business Expands
2005 – Shop undergoes a major expansion, increasing in size from 5,000 square feet to over 12,000 square feet.
2017 – Terminal Autobody joins Certified Collision Care, thereby achieving OEM Certification by FCA Canada.
